2026 National Designer Award Finalist Runway

2026 National Designer Award Finalist | 24 February

On Tuesday 24 February, Madre Natura was honoured to return to the runway as a 2026 National Designer Award Finalist.

This marked our third presentation within this space a milestone that reflects steady evolution, resilience and belief.

madre natura was born from a lifelong fascination with the wardrobes of the women who raised me. I was drawn to their quiet strength the elegance, permanence and femininity expressed through clothing. The polka dot emerged as a natural extension of this fascination. A symbol of continuity, memory and womanhood.

Over fifteen years in fashion, and five years building madre natura, this symbol has evolved into a signature design language moving beyond surface into form, silhouette and structure.

Each garment is designed with circularity in mind and manufactured locally in Sydney. Created to be worn, kept and valued over time.

Building this brand independently has required patience, resilience and unwavering belief.

madre natura continues to evolve, but its foundation remains the same: creating refined, architectural garments that honour memory, permanence, and the emotional relationship between women and clothing. This is only the beginning.

Thank you Melbourne Fashion Festival and David Jones for the continued support and for creating a space that brings designers together. Connecting with this community remains one of the most meaningful parts of the journey.
